Maintain all necessary graduate documentation including hiring information Participate as a team member in orientation, graduation, and all required activities at the school. Act as a liaison with the business community by representing ATC in local area trade shows, networking events and professional development workshops. Develop and maintain employer relationships. Assist employers in contacting students, graduates, and alumni for interviews Coordinate mock interviews for students, as needed, that may also include employers Working with the Directors of Education and Financial Aid to improve student retention by monitoring student performance, analyzing problem areas, prescribing solutions and conducting intervention activities and processes. Details: The Director, Surgeon Education is responsible to oversee all surgeon relations functions from fellowships, educational support, surgeon consulting agreements to the Globus Cares charitable arm.   In addition, the D-SRE is responsible to develop, implement and manage outstanding educational programs for spine surgeons, with the primary focus on training surgeons in the safe and efficacious use of Globus’ products.This individual will work with the executive management team at Globus Medical to ensure strategic objectives related to our educational and surgeon interfaces are maintained in a manner consistent in helping the company achieve its overall business goals worldwide. Responsibilities1.     Surgeon Relations:a.       Manage surgeon contractual relationships in accord with all applicable laws and regulations working closely with the Director of Compliance.b.     Manage the various professional society relationships, building relationships with KOL’s and selecting support opportunities in sync with our development and product focus efforts, collaborating with the marketing and PD functions.c.     Oversee the management of the Educational Committee and the selection and payment of support opportunities.d.     Manage the Globus Fellowship Committee and the support of select spine fellowship programs around the country.e.       Manage the Globus Cares charitable arm of Globus, heading the committee who reviews all requests for charitable donations in a comprehensive and compliant manner.f.       Manage all surgeon and other payments, whether charitable or educational in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations 2.     Surgeon Education:a.       Directly responsible for the direction of the MERC educational arm of Globus Medical.b.      Working with the Sr. VP of Corporate Development, establish a new MERC Strategic Education Plan (SEP) covering all relevant clinical treatment areas, matching Globus Medical product offerings, building on historical success and implementing new programs and processes. SEP should include both Educational Forums as well as Procedure Intensive Training courses.c.     Implement and manage the SEP through a solid, cohesive effort of high quality, well organized and proactively managed programs. d.     Build and manage an effective, pro-active team of professionals whose job will be to carry out all aspects of the SEP to include curriculum, site selection, faculty selection, promotion, registration, faculty preparedness, and site logistics,e.     Ensure adequate, dedicated product and support equipment are available to support all educational efforts.f.      Develop and manage a comprehensive budget to support the SEP and the organization and manpower to carry out the program.g.     Participate in the establishment and management of a world class surgeon faculty to result in a cohesive, interactive group of thought leaders whose participation is sought by surgeons from around the globe.h.     Create and implement effective methodologies to market specific MERC programs resulting in highly subscribed and in demand educational vehicles and targeted at the Globus Medical sales force and surgeons.i.      Establish Globus’ position as technological thought leader within Spine Community.j.        Responsible for interaction with and support of various professional societies in collaboration with the director of marketing.
